I got a scratch on a plastic cylinder when a gallon marker fell against it, anyway of removing or hiding the scratch without making it look worse?

Well D, I don't no if this will work. I seen it on TV. for glasses to fill scratches. you might not be able to remove the complete scratch but you can hide it by taking away the sharp edges. good luck.

Doug...there is a product available called NOVUS. It is a 2 part process....a wax-like substance to fill the scratch & a liquid to polish, works great on acrylic cylinders.

dsmith,

I have excellent results with the following. Start by using 600 grit wet or dry sandpaper to sand out the scratch. That is followed up with a buff with Dico Plastic polishing compound. It is an inexpensive process as compared to Novus. This works for watch faces or large plastic/ plexiglas surfaces. Follow that up with Novus or a plastic protectorant.

Good luck, Al
