My father has had this sign for a while (guessing 10+ years). He has no idea what the value for it might be. He isn't interested in selling it, but would like to have an idea of what the value might be.

Going from my memory it is about 4 feet tall, 8 feet wide and 12~24 inches deep. The other side is in similar condition. It has been sitting in this spot for years, so I don't know what the bottom might look like. Dad says it is Glass, not porcelain or plastic.

If anyone could ballpark a value, we'd much appreciate it.
Thanks!

Those signs are not made of glass they are made of lexon a plastic type material. If it was glass the weight would be to much for the frame.

Hard to see the overall condition and know if the lighting works or not, but with the picture and information given, I would venture a ballpark guess of $250 to $400.

To gasoildude: I don't imagine that you'll be surprised, but you are correct - it is made of a funny plastic type material. Thanks!

To K W FRITH: We've never tried to light it, so we don't know either! Thanks for the ballpark.

It one has a large enough wall to display them, the lexan signs display great. All one needs is 1/2 of the sign with or without the framing. Place a florescent fixture of the correct size behind it and "turn on the power". I have 2 smaller sized signs that display well in my garage (IMO)

As to value, I believe that Kevin is correct. Sometimes it is hard to find someone who wants a big heavy sign, but the same person will be interested in 1/2 of said sign.

My signs so you can get an idea of what I am rambling about;

I say he's about right on, Thing with a Big Sign, 5' - 6' porcelain or one like this, can cover a wall real fast and cheaper than covering the same area with pump plates,of course there's always exception to the rule.
