During my growing up years the Signal Gas station that was on the corner of SW Terwilliger Blvd and Taylor's Ferry Road in Portland, OR was owned by the father of a boyhood friend of mine.
The father often took time off and left the station to the two of us from the time we were in the eigth grade or so. All up through our high school years I sorta worked at that station. When we acquired cars it was great to have the rack available.
I remember well lots of cars coming in and asking for a buck's worth of regular.
I restored my first pump (A Tokheim 39) in Signal colors.
