Is the 2 for 2' tall?

Mine is 30" and it has the 2. I doesn't seem to be either sections, colors, or a measurement. Could be a style or type of sign I guess.

That's neat how you have managed to figure out the third digit. Without doubt you have established that the third digit determines the length of the sign.
I would suggest that these codes were placed there by the manufacturer of the sign and not Sinclair. Following through with that logic. The first digit is probably the customer code i.e. S = Sinclair. The second digit may be a plant or vendor code; it deciphers the location (plant) or who (vendor) made the sign as sign makers did sublet work.

Good point, they may not be Sinclair numbers at all.

Being that SINCLAIR [like wise with TEXACO, MOBIL, SHELL, etc], one sign company wasn't large enough to make ALL their signs. Signs would have been made say in NY, Detroit, Georgia, Texas, Calif, Seattle, Denver, etc.
