We just finished our new garage and thought a gas pump would be a great finishing touch.
After a quick search of craigslist, I found an inexpensive $200. pump that needed restoration.
The man sent a few cell phone pictures before we went to pick it up. It didn't look like a typical gas pump, so I searched the internet photos and it appeared to be a Sharmeter M-513.
When we got it home, the ID plates confirmed that it is a Sharmeter. Now, I'm having trouble finding much information about it. I believe it was from the 1920's.
I want to restore it to its original beauty.
It has a Cities Service Oils logo on the front and the Massachusetts Weights and measures plate on the clock face. It also has a Contains Lead label added which leads me to believe that it was in service into the late 70's and possibly beyond.

If anyone can point me to any information about this pump, it would be greatly appreciated. In the meanwhile, I hope you all don't mind me picking your brains, the more I read about gas pumps, the more fascinated I become. Thanks for you patience!
