If you have a NON Lettered white crown with a 7" flanged base I can understand your confusion. ALL original 7" flanged crowns should have raised letters.
Double check the size of the base. If its actually 6" then there's absolutely no doubt that its a repro. If it is 7" then you might have a new discovery. Standard started using White Crown's in 1932. That's the same time they quit using the raised letter globes. I would think that its possible they could have made some flanged 7" base non-lettered globes before the change over to screw base globes.
Is it a dealer that has the globe? See if you can trace its history. If you can't be sure pass it up. White Crowns are common.
