I picked this Ford radiator up today. Does anyone have any idea as to the age and value of this item? What model and year Ford did this come from? I am trying to decide what to do with it. Display it with the radiator or remove the radiator and display just the shroud. At the top is a Ford emblem and the shroud is all chrome. There is a hole for the crank at the bottom.

Rex I believe its a 1930-31, if I'm right I new I was, if I'm wrong it was just a guess. I think it would look great buffed up, spray the core flat black and hang it on the wall.................

Rex, I'm pretty sure Lance is right. Looks to be from a 30 or 31 Model A to me......but what do I know? Its way before my time! It probably doesn't have much value. Its very common, and most of the Model A collectors are gone now. Polish it up and hang it on the wall. Bob

It's a 1930 Model A to be exact. The 1931 model had a painted insert at the top of the shroud.

yep like 396 says its a "30". 28-29 grills were plated. 30 & 31 were stainless. (if it were 2 years newer youd really be rollin in the dough!) --- a model A grill is always COOL to have around. keep the radiator in it & paint a number on it like it was an old racer & hang it up! --- you can put a quail or motometer & wings or ??? radiator cap on it.
where did you find it? wheres the rest of the car?
that grill could be from anything. coupe, roadster, sedan, pickup, etc...
i myself picked up an original 32 ford grill & shell friday night. it was so nice! but it was soooooo much $$$!!! but i just couldnt leave the place w/out it! now i need a Henry steel 3 window to put it on!

Thirty model A Ford. I have a 30 tudor. That shell doesn't look too bad unless thats a good bang on top. Any cracks down on the bottom? I agree put it on the wall or get the rest of the car to go with it. Yeah by the way where is the rest of the car?

Everbodys right! It is in fact a '30 A model. Puttin a number on the radiator is a cool idea! Also consider puttin shelves inside the shell and display Hotwheels or your favorite diecast cars. The value isn't that great but they look great!
