Hello First let me say how informative I find this forum, secondly how much I enjoy the thread with all the old pictures! I am collecting pieces to do my Canadian built Wayne 70 in a Texaco theme. When I bought the pump it came with one cracked large(front or rear)"Fire Chief" ad glass. I have 2 "Fire Chief" pump plates, they are white around the Texaco "T". My question is, what globe would be historically correct 1) the "Fire Chief" with the white around the "T" or the "Texaco Eythl" globe? My goal is to keep the pump correct appearing, the price showing is 49.9 Canadian. Any body from Canada know approximately when that would have been?
Thanks Jerry

TEXACO globe w/ Star used on FIRE-CHIEF pumps, UNLESS it has the ETHYL logo on bottom then the ETHYL globe will be correct.

How about that? I happen to be doing the same Texaco theme. I obtained a Bennett 646 pump and it came with the Texaco ethyl globe. So, then the triangular ethyl logo would go below the Fire Chief pump plates?

P.S. i did mess this up as I forgot to paint the bases black when I did it. I only noticed after I put it back together.

That is a nice pair of pumps, great inspiration! Thanks. What color did you paint the spinners? What brand of paint did you use? Paint code?
Thanks very much Jerry

Spinners are red (although they are different from each other. I don't reemeber the paint code, but it was Sherwin Williams I believe. I would take down a pump plate or decal and have them computer match it. Don't forget to paint the bases black......
