Hello everyone!
I'm new to the hobby and my interest (or addiction) is growing fast. I bought my first gas pump project (Bennett 646) a few months ago and really didn't know what I was getting myself in to. The guy I bought it from gave up on it but said it was ready to assemble. Started doing my research and found that there's a whole lot of little parts missing (sure does add up real quick). But, I'm really having a lot of fun with it and have been enjoying what I've seen on Oldgas. So, I decided to register as a member.
I'd say that I'm mostly a history buff. My dad owned his own garage at one time but didn't keep anything (my mom probably made him throw things out). I've mostly collected liquor store advertising and signs but my interests are moving towards gas related items in a real hurry. I haven't seen much petroliana in my area and would like to see if it's just a local hidden gem waiting for me to discover.
