I too am restoring a Wayne Boyle-Dayton #83 pump. I have many detailed digital pictures of the pump and its parts. I would like to share pictures of my original I.D. plate, etc. but I have no idea how to post them on the site. However, if I had your email address I could send them direct to you. I searched for an appropriate lock for the access door. I made my own by adapting a typical drawer lock. The fact that the access hole is offset complicated it but it can be done.

I'm starting on a Boyle Dayton 87b myself. If you look in my "newbie thread, I sent some photos to Jim and he posted them. My tag seems identical to yours, and is the original. There is no info in the Capacity area on the tag.

Koz on taking a better look at my pump that came with the light bar I noticed a 3/4 or so hole in the top of the bottom jar casting, and a notch on the top one for the wire to get into the bonnet. I will check the other s sets of jar castings and see if they have that.

"This was my first pump restoration, Bought new skins from "gas pump heaven".
Used " Rustolium" spray cans.
The green was a fair match, but was satin finish. needed to use their clear enamel over decal and to finish up.
Had to use two cans at once to get a reasonable clear cover coat without a dry edge.
Also had to put the name plate lower than originally mounted because of the large decal.
Did not have a light bar, used a generic "Wayne" conduit."

Wow. You are a fast worker. Would you believe I was given my cut 83 pump in 1978 and I just started restoring it. All small parts are media blasted and just yesterday the flawless 15" Texaco lenses arrived from Vics. I thought I was making good progress until I saw what you were able to accomplish. Thanks for posting the inspiration to get movin!

WHEN THE WEATHER WARMS UP HERE, I WILL BE RESTORING THE 30 GAL. LUBESTER
( IN THE GILMORE OIL THEME ) AND A TOKHIEM 39A PUMP.( TEXACO FIRE CHEIF THEME ) BOTH WILL SIT NEXT TO THE WAYNE BOYLE/DAYTON PUMP ON THE CONCRETE BASE I INSTALLED.
