I would pass on it. $150 with the signs might be ok

It's a Wayne 70-2-F farm or commercial pump first manufactured in 1954. 1253 on the tag is probably the build date of Dec 1953. I wouldn't pay more than $200-$250.00 with one Texaco plate as the pump plate is worth $150.00 and the pump is a $150.00 pump.

Pump had a clock face only on one side the back panel would have been a plain flat door, which you will have to fabricate if it's missing.

It is similar in height to a gas boy farm gas pump.

There are better first pumps out there in my opinion. Not a desirable or collectible pump as some have stated in this thread. Another example of why it's important to know the subject matter before offering advice.

Once again thank you to all of your reponses/advice. I will still make an offer on the pump, however, with the insight you have all given me it will not be the amount I was previously thinking. If they do not accept, I am sure that eventually I will be bringing home a pump. By the way, anyone have a project pump for sale in Southern Ontario that they want to part with?

Doug
