I think the ones I pulled out already will clean up nice. The spots you see in the pic is just dirt. The 6' sign only has one little chip in it and the top flange is gone. The 4' looks to be in nice shape to.
My grandfather drove a tanker truck for mobil from 29 to I think 66. Looks like he brought home a lot of signs from the different mobil stations on his run. If you remember a couple of years ago this is how I got my gargoyle mobiloil cabinets, they were in my grandfathers celler sence the 50's. He worked for mobil when they changed from SOCONY to SOCONY VACUUM in 1931 then to MOBIL in the 50's. I would think every time they changed names they would change signs. My grandfather was probbley doing them a fovor by taken the signs from the stations.
