Ok, so i put two gallons of water into the tank. And considering i didn’t use a device calibrated by the NYS dept of weights and measures, it was pretty accurate. It was off by about a pint. So 2 inches means two gallons. My thinking is that there must have been a standard that you tank must size up with your dip stick that an inch is a gallon?
