Tokheim 36B. The color is orange (not rust) and blue. The pump mechanism is intact and the pump overall is in good shape with very little rust. The only issues are one missing computer face, one piece of verticle trim is missing (the rest are there but painted over) and the base has a substantal chip out of one side. It is also missing the "Tokheim" badge on one side.
Anyone have a line on parts ?
The pump has been stored in a garage in Waywayanda New York for over 17 years. The father of the seller picked it up from a service sation somewhere in Northern NJ with the idea of restoring it one day.
Any thoughts on the original branding of this pump ?
Resto or keep intact ?
If I decide to retstore, I am thinking Indian - but I am leaning toward replace the missing pieces, adding some glass and otherwise keeping as is.

I was planning to remove the paint from the stainless trim at the very lease. This would look great in an Indian scheme...... The Indian colors along with the bling would look really great.

If most of the paint and decals were visible and in good shape, then I could understand someone keeping it as is... But in the case of this pump, if it were mine.... I would be removing paint... One never knows what "treasures" might be under the surface of a poor paint job?
If you find nothing that catches your attention under the paint, you have a "clean slate" to start over with....

The only Stainless Trim on your 36B is the Nozzle Spout Receiver, Tokheim name plates above faces are Nickle Plated Brass stampings.

All the Spikes lower front & sides I have seen made for the 36B are Stamped Steel & painted.

Interesting. I had assumed that they were stainless or chrome underneath all of the paint. If they are supposed to be painted that opens many resto possibilities.

Was there a prominent brand using 36b's ? Not that I'm aware of, used by most Oil Companies @ one time or another. My SHELL 36B Twin w/ original pump plates;  My 36B single restored by tallguy39;

Heaven forbid!!! Don't strip that beautiful paint! If anything clean it and plate the trim and find good face plates and ad glass! Imagine if the Dicks twin had that paint how good it would look! Do you know what it would cost to duplicate that paint job?

Here is my 36B-DP Twin & it WILL BE Repainted as UNION OIL CO. w/ a Home Made Double Showcase in middle  notchad, IF my SHELL pump had looked like Scott's, I still would have Repainted it. Actually it was better & was a CHEVRON w/ readable decals & adv glass. Scott, IT'S YOUR pump, do as You Wish, your the one that will have the Satisfaction & enjoy it EVERY TIME you look at it.
