I am unsure if this is a repop or not and figured I would let the experts decide. The sign measures 11 1/4" across the center, has 4 mounting holes none with grommetts and a gray back.
I am looking to buy the sign and have been told it is original. I know that pump plates are heavly reproduced and want to make sure before I buy. In addition, if it is original any idea on value?
Thanks for your help guys!

They used decals. Buy PCM's guide to gas pump restoration if you are worried about pump plate repros

What is the dead give away that this sign is a repro? Just trying to learn more, it seems as if so many of the signs are and listed as originals.
Thanks

I think you're close enough to drive up for classes. He knows more than anyone in the world! Ask him about his diet and work out videos!

And you should visit the California Oil Museum in Santa Paula to whom Mr. DB is a contributor. Prefered the old version of their website though...
