Hey guys, Ok heres the question, while i was out at an antique shop I came across a Texaco globe on a capco body. This is the "newer" version with the black boarder around the "T". The lenses are in mint condition and the capco is only slightly discolored.What struck me as strange is the inscription "Offically Licensed Product" at the bottom of the globe. The dealer swears that it is legit and is asking 225.00 -not a bad price for a globe in cherry condition. now is this real or fake? All the globes I have or have seen say a date or REG. US. PAT. OFF on them. I have also met some dealers who have the same type of globes (licensed product) and say they are repo. Is this globe a gem or a dud? I want it but I dont want to get ripped off.
