Still working on a revision, but I though you might like to know what the copies of the first book you have are worth. Take a look at this:

Hey, Seth, you are sitting on a fortune.

Is there any other petroleum book out there worth this kind of money?

That's interesting. I recently went to Amazon with the intention to buy a used book. The book could be purchased new online from several sources for $38.00 and Amazon wanted $95.00 for a used book. I kept going back and forth figuring I couldn't be looking at the same book but I was. What's up?

I bought the last 400 a year ago this month...I've got less than 100 left @ 24.95, so they should be available at least thru Christmas, but I bet Santa takes most of what I have left.

I was dragged along to a garage sale last month, and there was an elderly woman selling glass figurines on a table in one end of the yard.
As I walked around some,a wind kicked up and blew the sheet she had on that table up & around.I noticed she used wood blocks to help even out the table legs on the grass.
One leg had a brand new book under it.As I came back to that spot later on,I saw the book was actually Jacks GasPump ID book.I looked at that lady and said "How Much?"...she said "Buy a figurine and I'll thow it in....for FREE!"
I asked where she got the book in the first place,as she did not look like the petrol type. She said her brother bought it to price/sell some gas pump **** weeks prior, and never opened the book again.
The culprit who dragged me there in the first place was eyeing one of her glass figurines anyway,so needless to say I left with some excellent Gaspump ID/table leg leveling material for Free.

Yes Jack, there is another petro book going for incredible money. I hate how Amazon and their conspirators jack up the price of a book when it goes nearly out of stock. It isn't costing them any more money, because they bought them when they were cheap, but they try to sell them for whatever they can gouge us for. I tried to buy the "Guide to gasoline logos" book and they want $147. Criminal.

Those books are for sale by third parties. It is supply and demand. If a book is out of print the resellers start raising the prices. There are also a lot of books that are available for great discounts by third party resellers through Amazon. A new edition (or new printing) will lower the values of the books back to reality. I have seen it happen with books in other collecting areas.

Mine is autographed by Jack Sim himself. I treasure it too much to sell it, but make me an offer!
