Lastgas, is the Indian Gas globe pictured on the showcase link of COTW, page two, a narrow body globe? It looks like it has a date on the lens but I can't make it out. Weren't most of the Indian globes used 3pc. glass of the wide body species?? I may have a lead on a globe like this one to buy this fall.

Midway, I will try to help answer this and Bob can put in what I leave out. LOL The Indian globe is found on a reg. narrow body or on the one pictured which is a hull body. Note the one in the picture is on an early crimped hull. That means it has a metal collar at the bottom that is crimped and doesn't come off. For the guys that don't know what the difference is between the reg. glass and the hull... pick up the globe and look at the inside through the bottom. On a hull you will actually see the back of the lens. This is when the lenses are held in with the screws! Gill bodies and banded are different yet. The lenses in the picture below are marked "hull 6-38" which is correct for that configuration.

John pretty much nailed it. I will add that a wide body would not be correct. A regular narrow or hull body would be correct.
