No problem, appreciate the offer. I put it on yesteday and didn't get back to the guys that made offers via PM until this morning. Gave it until 8PM to be fair to all.

I find this kind of funny, an old incomplete cabinet in not too good shape and taking offers on it. Then the offers are not good enough. This is the hobby???

Depends on what people want. We have all chased something that we wanted. Although not rare, it isn't that easy to find these either.

Sold for how much? !!!! The point of private PM is the buyer does not want to be identified. It is not a silent auction! Any question if the PM is legitimate can be verified by moderators. SO. What did it sell for?

I assume what it sold for is between the buyer and the seller?

Well so all of you can sleep at night I will disclose that I bought the cabinet and I paid more than the one that Tom sold. Some may question why I would spend that much and it is a function of several things.

1. What I like - I am a lubricant professional and have gained a significant interest in lubricant related dispensers. Although I have some nice gas items as well, I am working to put together a really nice bulk lubricant collection. I am not into cans, but other bulk oil items interest me.

2. Availability - I have come across some of these, but not many. Missed out on the bargain offered by Tom by minutes

3. Total cost - The total cost is not just what you pay for an item, but what you also pay to get it home (frieght) and also to restore to the condition you want it in. I have come across better ones, but with freight the total cost was over $1500. I have a ride home arranged with a friend, so that helps on my total cost. I wouldn't have paid what I did if I had to ship it. My mother raised ugly kids and not stupid ones.

4. I also am not turned off from a project that might need some extra work or fabrication. Taking something that is missing something and bringing it back to its original condition brings a great deal of satisfaction. Hell I could have bought something ready to go, but I wouldn't appreciate it as much.
