I was looking through a flea market today and saw a Tokheim (i think 39). It looked pretty good, of course needs a little tlc and pain. But for the most part as far as I could tell it was in good condition. The man said $250 . I didn't think that sounded too bad. What do yall think?

First of all... do you like the looks of the pump? If so and it's straight offer him $200 and if he declines then give him the $250, at least you tried. The 39 is a nice pump... if you do a search here on oldgas under "showcase" we did a pump of the month that was all Tokheim 39's. Good luck!

I think staight is the keyword here, if its really straight it is worth 100-150 more easily. How much tweaking and straightening and welding and bodywork can you get for 200 these days, plus the project goes quicker and its worth more. Condition is everything..dodogas

Ditto what dodogas says...straight pumps are tough to find. Also, check lower part of pump for rust. Good luck!!
