I agree with most of you that Jack did a good job on the book although it would have been a lot better with a whole lot more actual photos instead of an artists depiction of a certain pump. The values of pumps listed in this book help some of us and hurt more than they help. The low values on a lot of pumps are not low enough and some of the high values aren't high enough. I think it's like all antiques though, price is governed by region that you live in. There are people out there now that are using Jack's book as the "gospel" on what a pump should bring and as a result they are sitting on a pump that will never sell in that region for that price. Just my 2c's worth.
