HI, CAN ANYONE TELL HOW DESIREABLE AND IF THIS PUMP IS RARE. ITS A VISIBLE WITH A CLOCK FACE? SORT OF IN THE MIDDLE. MOST OF THE PARTS ARE NOT THERE, THE TOP IS BROKE BUT ALL THERE, BASE IS ALSO BROKE BUT ALL THERE, SKINS GONE. BUT INTERIOR IS COMPLETE, CLOCKFACE? IS THERE, THE COLUMN AND BOWL FOR THE FOR THE TANK, ARE THERE, MADE OF HEAVY CAST AND NOT BROKE. THE GUY IS JUST ABOUT GIVING AWAY OF COURSE, WILL I BE ABLE TO FIND, PARTS OR SHOULD I JUST SELL PARTS. WHAT WOULD BE THE VALUE IF COMPLETE. I HAVE NEVER SEEN THIS PUMP BEFORE, BUT I WOULD THINK IT TO BE VERY RARE. BASE SAYS "NATIONAL RECORDING PUMP" PLEASE HELP.
THANKS FRANKLIN

The condition hurts that value but it's not to common of a pump. The rarity may help a collector overlook some of the damage but without the skins it would be a hard pump to complete. If you are a pump guy I would keep it, if you heart is in globes or signs I would advertise the parts to a pump collector.

Could you get a picture or two for us to post?

By all means grab it!! They will not make more. If you dont want to finish it , someone else will! or you can trade for something you like.

Skins are usually easier to make than castings, it sounds pretty good. Castings can be fixed or used for patterns.

Franklin, Go get it TONIGHT by all means! I have two restored ones and if you need pics can help. Parts are extremely hard to find or cast for that matter. Borrow or buy a value guide book named Gas Station Memorabilia by Wayne Priddy, go to page 96 for an unrestored pic and page 88 for a restored pic of one of my Duplexes. That will give you an idea what they look like. Nice find, good luck !

Hello,

I also would be interested in this pump also. Broken castings dont scare me as long as all the pieces are there. Let me know if you want to sell it, better yet put it on ebay and that way everybody can have a fair chance at it!!

Thanks,

Easy G. Butler
