It was Feb. 12th when it sold not 7 days ago. Look at the date on the link you posted. Get your facts straight if your going to talk about someones business

whatever you would like to think, I told you what happened. I decided i didn't want to sell at the price and that's that. Ebay charges to much in fee's which makes people charge more for items to make up for it, not a big fan of Ebay for charging so much to sell an item.

You list an item on e-Bay without reserve and an opening bid of $275.00. Someone bids on it and wins. You then decide that you want more money and the bidder refuses to pay more than what he won the item for.

I'm somewhat at a loss for words, because you still feel you have done nothing wrong and that the bidder was uncooperative. You are now attempting to plead your case publicly amongst an audience where you will find very little sympathy.

Your negative feedback was well earned and I can not think of anyone that would have paid you more than their winning bid and then left you positive feedback. Which you seem to believe should have been the case. Your false sense of entitlement defies all logic.

Your 75% e-Bay feedback rating accurately reflects the risks involved in doing business with you.

After having participated in your thread from yesterday re: the 30" Phillips double sided porcelain sign and now this thread; I can say with some level of certainty that you have decimated any credibility and trust that is afforded to all new comers on this site.

...but you're only asking $5 more than you got on eBay. You make no sense at all.
I think I'll pass.

You know, I read about the Phillips sign then about this Texaco. I looked up the negative feedback and could not understand your thinking? Why not complete the auction in the correct manner? You had $275.00? Then listing for $280.00 on this site? I agree with Dave and feel that you have shown no regard for integrity in any way or form. I can get along with most people but folks with actions like this, I will steer clear of. In the World today, there are a lot of "Do Overs" allowed? I disagree with that theory and believe that once sonething is done....live with it! There is an old saying that my Dad told me...." If a Man doesn't have his word.....He's got nothing." There are a lot of knowledgeable and passionate people on this site. They will not be easily fooled. I am one of them. Paul www.severngaspumps.com

I said i made a mistake didn't I ?? You make a mistake you learn from it and pay the price and that is exactly what i said and did. I admitted I should have just did the deal. I got cold feet and wanted to keep it after the fact and you correct I should have let it go i agree with that. I already said that! I can't post with out the mediator checking my post so i can't respond instantly to peoples comments.

Seller also received positive feedback for these two signs that look strikingly similar. 251012528300 250986959554 Hmmmm.

Yes i did receive good feedback on the same sign because i let a buyer back out of the sale without giving him negative feedback. I did him a favor because I know he had good intentions so i let him off the hook and he gave me good feed back for doing so.

Look at my earlier posts i admitted i was and did wrong and should have just went through with the deal. Look through the thread and read my posts that just got posted by the moderator. I took full responsibility for my actions. I made a mistake and payed the price, It's not about the mistakes you make in life but is about learning from them so you don't repeat them. I have learned a lesson from my mistake on that deal, I can't go back and change it all i can do is move forward and do the right thing from here on out. I apologize if i offended anyone on here. I have only been buying and selling for a year and half and am learning along the way. That's one of the reasons i had issues with the Phillip's sign because i didn't know what i had and was sold something that wasn't what it was guaranteed to be. I try to do the right thing always and believe character is very important and so is your word. I regret not selling the Texaco sign when it was won on ebay, i wish i could take it back but i can't. I have lived and learned through these processes and apoligize for causing anyone problems

It wasn't about the money I got cold feet and didn't want to sell the sign. I would have liked to got a little more money but that wasn't the main reason I just really had a change of heart and wanted to keep the sign. I did state that I wanted to get more money but that was more of an excuse, deep down I just really wanted to keep it. This happened four months ago and the reason I decided why to not follow through with the sale is not the point. I should have sold it to the winning bidder period and I didn't. I kept the sign selfishly and regret doing so but it was a mistake that I made and I admit and I understand it was the wrong thing to do for multiple reasons. I have said it time after time, yes i kept a sign that sold on ebay and it was wrong and i regret doing so and I paid the price and received negative feedback and also showed lack of character and I am ashamed of what I did because i am not that kind of person. I can't take it back but I can use that situation to learn a lesson and make myself a better man by doing the rite thing no matter what. Like one of the members stated on the thread "A man's word is one of the most important things in life" and I tarnished mine in some of the eye's of members on the site and that really sucks but it's my fault and I'm not trying to make excuses but I don't think you should judge a man on one situation either. I have sold lots of items through different sites and through auctions and I always do good business. I have a lot more happy customers and friends from selling antiques, picking, and petroliana than i do enemies. i made one mistake compared to dozens of successful sales and happy customers so if someone doesn't want to trust me or buy from me for the one time I did the wrong thing then so be it. I have apologized to everyone and have tried to use everyone's advice and move forward from this situation. I'm sure I'm not the only one who has received bad feedback and or made a mistake they wished the could take back. Thanks again to those who understand and sorry to those who don't. I can only move forward from here and hope people don't judge my character over one negative example. I have tons of friends and I am a great trust worthy friend, just because i made a bad decision once in my life doesn't began to depict what kind of person I am. I want to do only good business and move on and learn from my mistakes and continue to do good business always.
Thanks you for listening
