Hi, I am new to this group. I have a NOS 1930's Johnson Products Porcelain Flange. Sign is heavy, thick porcelain and 4 colors. I need some help locating a current book value. I will try and post a couple pics. Thanks,---Hawkman

What does the stamped fine print along the bottom of the sign read?

...there's not going to be a 'current book value' on that sign...it's too desirable because of condition, the fact that it's a small porcelain sign, and the brand is sought after...IMO, the only way to evaluate such a piece is to list it in a high-profile auction, like Iowa or Columbus - it would go over the heads of the fools bidding at Barrett-Jackson... ...one of these was discussed on Oldgas before: http://oldgas.com/forum/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=162525

Oh my gosh! I am happy to hear from you. I like old motorcycle and service station memorabilia and have had signs before that usually have a worth of $200 to $1,000. Maybe I will check out one of the upscale auctions, as I have never had anything before that would really qualify. Thanks so much for your and others that responded. --- Hawkman

I saw in the old post link somebody mentions that they had the same sign. Maybe that person can put up exact measurements of their real original sign, really it all comes down to measurements of the sign compared to another they should all be the same. That is the best way to tell the real from the fake again in my opinion. And also is there any story where you got or found the sign that can also help out.
