Up for your consideration is this Peter Max art "flower power" era 7up chalk board. The piece is heavy for its roughly 19.5" X 29.5" size. Nice original piece for cheap money. $55.00 shipped anywhere in the lower 48

This is not a Peter Max item.
Peter Max & 7-Up never worked together.
A secondary group of young knock off artists copied him,and were never given permission to do it.
...Max never pursued them legally.

Yeah, thanks for the info...

I never said Peter Max was the artist, I said it was from the Peter Max "art era."

Cormy,
Your employer probably blocks certain sites like the image host, imgur.com, used in the posts above. Somehow they may have gotten the idea that it might not be work related. wink

I will take it. Pm info. Calling it peter max campaign is correct by the way. Plenty of other pieces from this campaign and that is the "jargon" of this style.

It's been over 48 hours and still no pay pal payment from Neewbie who offered to buy this item and another I had for sale.

I just can't figure this out. I also have another item for sale here where TWO different people offered to buy it and I didn't hear anything from either. Where I'm from, if you offer to buy something you buy it and pay IMMEDIATELY otherwise the item is for still for sale. It takes 20 seconds to pay pal someone or 60 seconds to pick up the phone and call the number of the seller that he provided just for that purpose. Craigslist is the absolute worst for this. PeePee pullers galore. That's why I explicitly tell people "I WILL NOT ANSWER TEXT MESSAGES OR CRAIGSLIST E-MAILS. IF YOU WANT THE ITEM CALL ME TO SET SOMETHING UP!!"

I guess this chalkboard is still for sale.

To help you understand why I "Stroked" you....You sent me numerous Texts and Emails asking me to buy your other junk items...Also telling ME what I should be able to get for them in my store. You then sent me a message asking what I wanted after we already made a deal....I paid...You refunded....Why was it on ebay in the first place after we made a deal??? No loss or bad feelings on my end...but please don't tell the world I welched on something when I did anything but. I sell over 400 items a month on ebay...and if I cancelled every transaction that did not pay instantly, I would be a poor man. Don't take yourself, or your items so seriously...THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BE FUN.

Old Gas Moderators......I BEG you NOT to delete these posts, people need to know what type of jerk this guy is. Please.

On August 4th I listed this chalkboard for sale here on Old Gas. If someone wants something here it is usually sold almost immediately, so by the end of the day August 5th I listed it for sale on e-bay.

August 8th Newbie (Matt) posted above that he wanted to buy it. Great. I PM'ed him and offered two other "junk" items to him, one of which he agreed to buy, the other was bought by another member of Old Gas. (if they were "junk" why did matt want them???) I included pay pal payment instructions to Matt.

August 9th, 24 hours later, I text messaged Matt, here it is verbatim: Matt, did you want these signs or??? Matt: Didn't we make a deal......I just need to pay. Will do today.

Nothing after that. 48 hours later, as seen above I announce that the item was still for sale.

August 12th, the item sells on e-bay.

This evening, August 14th, 6 1/2 days after Matt agreed to buy this item I get a pay pal payment in my inbox. I called him up and told him that the signs were sold, I never heard anything from him. He cuts me off and laughs, telling me "did you call me to lecture me?" I said no, you should have paid when you agreed to buy this item. He then tells me, "What, did you need the money to buy crack or something?" I then hung up on him.

The bottom line is this guy's NOT professional and should have paid when he committed to buy my item. he also should have exercised better communication. EVERYTHING I have ever sold on Old Gas (or bought myself in the real world, THOUSANDS of items) has been paid for IMMEDIATELY. This guy practiced ***** POOR business practices and was an piehole to boot. If this is the type of guy that you want to do business with then have at it, I WILL NOT subject myself to that, I don't need the money that bad.

You're right Matt, this is supposed to be FUN.
