Hope you have an enjoyable time out here. If you are also a bit of a car nut, the Petersen Automotive Museum on Wilshire Blvd in Los Angeles is good for a few hours. It was founded by Hot Rod magazine publisher, the late Bob Petersen. They have a repro of a Richfield station in the museum with other petro pieces that is really cool. Very close by at The Farmers Market, sita a repro of a Gilmore station that is awesome! Plenty of good places to eat at the Farmers Market. If memory serves me correctly, the land there was part of the Gilmore dairy farm where oil was discovered and launched the Gilmore oil business. Also, The La Brea Tar Pits is really cool. It is nestled among pricey commercial real estate in the Wislshire District of Beverly HIlls. They have awesome displays as to how the Tar Pits drew oil people in the early days of the oil bix in Los Angeles. It is near the Farmes Market and Petersen Museum. Dave Folck
