Like my father telling me where he was when Pearl Harbor was bombed, I hope we all pass that information on 9/11. I was at Purdue University at an engineering conference. The school tried to go on with the conference but everyone ended up out in the hall watching the TV. I surely hope we or our kids never see that again in their lives. Rob

Morning Rob! I was at home watching "Good Morning America" on the tube, when the second plane hit the second tower. Watched it all unfold for the rest of the morning! Have a great day on me!!--KEVIN

Morning all, Like Kevin I was at home as it was my day off. Which means I was sitting in the same spot. Called the folks and told them we was under attack, which meant we would soon be at war.

I was at work in a body shop in suburban St. Louis, Mo. Someone said a plane hit a building in New York. I went in the customer waiting room where there was a TV, in time to watch the second tower get hit. It was unbelievable and sickening.

I vividly remember the clearest blue sky that day.....I was at work when the news came across the radio of the first strike. I immediately got online and watched the rest of the day unfold live. It was a terrible feeling not knowing what was really happening, and how far reaching the destruction could be. That night, I made it a point to go outside and look at the skies as I was thinking it would (hopefully) be the only time in my life that I would not see one blinking plane light in the sky, which was really odd. It was also eerily quiet as well, as we are so used to the noise above and around us that we usually don't even notice it, but that night it was so still.

I was in New Jersey picking up a load of gas pumps. Saw the planes hit on a TV in a restaurant were we stopped to get a bite. On the way South on I95 I saw men and women alike crying as they drove their cars. Sad day for this country. Never Forget! Paul www.severngaspumps.com

I was installing a Boiler in a 7 unit apt. building when the older man in the apt. above me started screaming to his wife to get off the toilet, after much commotion, a flush, and then a crash as she tripped and fell as running out of the bathroom. All the while I'm listening to see whats happening and only hearing bits and pieces I finally went upstairs to see the 2nd plane hit. It was a day I will never forget.

I was in our pre-departure briefing getting ready to head out to one of the Air Force's Nuclear Launch Control Facilities on the Northern tier. After the attacks, we spent 3 days 100 foot underground at a heightened state of nuclear launch readiness not seen since the Cuban Missile Crises in the early 60's. We had an incredible amount of destructive power at our fingertips. The pucker factor was pretty tense during that time.

I was on my way to work in Astoria, OR a little more than 50 miles from my home...
I went in early each day,to start making my East Coast and Over-Seas phone calls without having the Electricians ask questions while making the calls ...
I was listening to the radio and trying to wake-up fully... As here on the West Coast it was approx 5:45 in the morning... When Tower 1 was struck...
