Jack, What a cool gift. Next year you'll have to ask for a Red Ryder BB gun, but be careful you dont put your eye out

I forgot to mention how it arrived. It was not post marked "FRANCE" nor was there a "FRAGILE" sticker. It was in cardboard box and I had to put it together.
As some of you know my wife is as crazy as I am, so it went directly to a table by the front window, the day it arrived.
The above responses remember the movie, I wonder if there are any young guys who don't know what we are talking about?

GARY:
"A CHRISTMAS STORY" 1983

STORYLINE: LITTLE RALPHIE PARKER (PETER BILLINGSLEY) has to convince his parents, teachers, and Santa that a Red Ryder BB gun really is the perfect gift for the 1940's. A WELL DONE STRAIGHT FROM THE HEART FLICK!

MY ADVICE: FIND IT, RENT IT, BORROW IT...WHAT EVER IT TAKES TO VIEW IT...DO IT!

The catalog companies have found my wife. There isn't a day go by that some catalog doesn't arrive. It was featured in at least one catalog during the Fall to get ready for the Christmas season. The one she got for me is the big 42" one. There is also a little short one (she got me one of these also, when she found out the other one would be delayed) that is about 17" tall.
She thinks it may have been the "Lighter Side" catalog, but isn't sure.
She just handed me a catalog that just came in. It is in the "What on Earth" catalog. www.whatonearthcatalog.com
Almost every year TNT will show the movie non-stop for 24 hours over Christmas.

I agree it must be seen ...but, I wouldnt think you would need to rent it or borrow it...isnt it played almost in a nonstop loop around the Holiday Season? I think at least here in these parts its always on through the whole month of December

Are you sure it was a gift, not a "Major Award?"
