If you are going to go that route - buy your body and have 15.0" round pieces cut from white Plexiglas or Styrene. Put your decals on those and use the CFL bulbs - 'cuz the lenses will be close to the bulbs and you don't want any extra heat or scorching.

Decals on regular 'domed' frosted glass (or a glass body) will 'pie crust' at the outer edges when you try to install them.
