I have a chance to buy this 42" double sided sign but have never seen this version. Can anyone tell me something about it. I have the Gasoline and the Motor Oil signs

is sign possibly foreign?..

If memory serves... there are variants on the 42" including this one. I believe it is a bit harder to find than the Gasolene version.

Thank you gentlemen. It's been offered to me for $1750 and the other side is supposed to be better and I'm waiting for pictures. Not sure if it's worth it for a foreign piece

I collect Texaco and have made the decision not to collect the foreign signs...gotta draw the line somewhere. LOL To me, I think that is too high, but again, I am biased. It is unique.

I'm the same way with Shell items, no interest in foreign advertising. Plus the domestic signs are much more awesome, even canadian stuff from then isn't the same.

don't agree with you, there are tons of foreign stuffs way better than US and some US signs better than foreigns, in my collection I have many US items but also from France, Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands with different graphics of shape than what you can find in US, but that's just my opinion and how I collect

to get back to the subject I know that Australia produced similar signs from USA with some differences like this texaco sign

Yep, If the other side is as good as shown, no touch up it would be a bargain. No proof that it's foreign ? No foreign words on the face, what's the big deal. I think Bettin has/had one where the neon was added ? for $5000.00 years back. With this sign, I seen around four now.

I know where there's one at back in Ohio in a barn, The old man had this one and the regular gasoline version. He wasn't a collector so I would imagine they were local, tried and tried but could never get them bought.
