Your right.....the lay or bust is a tuff one to ad to the collection. A little FYI for those interested. The beach co was in business from 1910-1940. 99% of beach thermos are marked with the famous "patent mar. 16 1915" marking. This lay or bust thermo is marked "patent applied for". I believe this makes it easy to date to between 1910-1915......but probably 1914. Not sure how long the patent process took in the early teens.
I believe the bulb bump outs on the beach thermos are earlier thermos. I believe these bump outs were transitioned out around 1920. They were replaced with flat thermos that had no bump out. Common mail pouch and NR thermos are flat for reference.
