It is definantely right. Dixie Distributors from Ann Arbor, Michigan marketed gas under the Dixoline brand and used blue ripples. Dixie was a marketing association that had a presence in 17 different states at their high water mark and had large presence in Texas. If the blue ripple is in nice shape without serious stains or paint loss, it is worth quite a few thousand dollars.

Wanted: Ripple Body Globes, picture globe, any Dixie Distributors keyhole gas pump globe and ANYTHING from Old Dutch Refining, Muskegon, MI Musgo sign

Not 10K but it should be worth about $5000-$6000 retail if really nice. It looks used so it may fall below that. Scott B.

Blue ripples are some of the toughest to find...they rarely come up for sale...

The last blue ripple on Ebay sold 3-4 years ago (unless I missed one)... Rotaline globe I think...sold for $7500ish if I remember correctly

10K may be high, but they rarely come up for sale and great pieces are so volatile now (per your previous post on that topic Scott)

just my 2 cents... great globe!

There have been several blue ripple bodies that have sold since the Rotaline mentioned, and they've been in the $6,000 +/- range for mint bodies with no lenses. This globe does appear to have some staining to it which would greatly hurt it's value.

Blue ripple bodies are very uncommon on the market, but are not that rare in all reality. The people that have them rarely sell them is the thing.

Hope this info helps and I hope you're able to get it bought!
