Thunder II, why you little rascal!!! That’s a very nice restoration! Looks hot!!! D.B. so, you like the GLOBE HOLDER?? Teri didn’t say much last night! LOL! Joe, yes I’m stilling planning on doing what we talked about, it will be awhile before I get to it. I’m trying to finish the pump before I go in the hospital for the knee replacement on April 2. I’m hoping by June I will be back in the garage, I have six Columbia 2-speed axles to rebuild for waiting customers fortunately for me there cars are been restored and they don’t need the rear-ends for a couple of months so that worked out perfect.
I have promised my wife for Christmas I would finish her 1956 Austin Healey and I need to get back on my 29 roadster, so much to do and I’m not getting any younger. I still enjoy the challenge but it seems like its more work then it used to be…..
tx_oil you guys make me LOL!!!! I have tears in my eyes!!! IKEA piece love it.
SinclairHC, welcome aboard I also am a new be!! The guys here make you feel right at home. To answer your questions, I’m using Dupil-Color undercoat. It goes on very easy and covers any imperfections you may see it’s not thick and the best part is that it’s paintable any color you like. Why do I paint the pump inside?? Well I’ll tell ya.. because I like things finished off, just because the inside is behind closed doors and you can’t see It doesn’t mean it should be left that way and there is always that person who will ask what’s it look like inside ?? And think of the money you will save on paint at $80.00 Dollars a quart...wow!! Save where you can plus painting the inside off sets things a change of contrast… All and all it makes no difference if you paint the inside or not, it’s just me I can’t seem to leave things alone.
Z, thanks for the kind words you are right on… that Richfield Ethyl globe is bad *** !
