My 2 cents..... doe's gr8 have his own plane?, or was he bringing stuff back in a carry on?
"Flew into Chicago from Minneapolis early Sunday morning, rented a car, and headed South to Peotone".
All I heard on saturday (from friends and Old-Gas) was that the show was going to be low on vendors because of the bad weather. So if I would have been going I would have known this.
I have yet to get to Peotone for a show but will be heading to Iowa Gas for I think the 13th year and for me the show includes seeing friends I've met in this hobby, going to the swap/show and staying for the auction. But I'm a collector not a picker/seller so I'm not looking for resale value for any time in the near future! There have been years I have come back with a truck full and years it's just a few items. If you give up on Oil-Gas shows because the one you go to and this during a stormy weekend had nothing for you then there is no reason to go again. But IMO don't fly to a show (unless you have your own plane) because that deal your looking for probably won't fit in your carry on!!
