Usually when a professional packer is involved insurance claims go much easier. I would value the body at the cost of a repro ($100). When the item was shipped a declared amount would have been listed for insurance purposes. You can say the lenses are worth anything you want, but the insurance claim will be limited to the amount of insurance that was purchased at the time of shipment. They may also want to see proof of value such as a bill of sale, invoice or eBay print out. Some shippers will let you keep damaged items others want everything back including any undamaged pieces. Good luck!
