My dad would bring one along when we took trips out to the mountains in Jasper National Park back in the 50s. You would find clear, clean mountain stream water running off the cliffs where the road was carved into the rock. He would fill up the bag and attach it to either the front grille or bumper of the car and it would stay cool from all the air passing over it as we drove down the road. We sold generic ones at the station. Never saw a Canadian gas station brand though. Interesting that the Pep Boys bag has a Canadian patent. Cheers, Don.
