Just my uninformed opinion but I think the repaint is hurting the sign...
...I'd say the repaint is
killing it's value...if the paint was so far gone that it needed to be totally repainted, the value wasn't there to begin with...and a new paint job doesn't add value to the sign, as a
collector piece...
