How many people have there stuff displayed in there house? A lot go in dens and gamerooms and garages but what about the ones that are in kitchens, bedrooms, bathrooms? Lets here where some of these are located and post pictures if you want. I can post some pictures for guys when i have time.

I will start... i keep mine in the basement and garage and the basement bathroom. Here is the deal me and the wife worked out. She gets the upstairs and i get the basement to do with as i please. If she tries to put something down stairs all i have to do is put a globe on the bedroom dresser or the top of the entertainment center. LOL

Looking for anything from Hoosier Pete, Platolene 500 and Red Bird.

I have a better question John. How much time does your wife let you spend on the hobby? LOL

Sorry, I couldn't resist.

One pump, hundreds of cans, signs, in the living room.
over 150 cans, 7 globes, 25 or so signs, and many smaller items in the dining room.
Signs, cans bottles in kitchen.
Several cans in the bathroom as well.
I save my bedroom for my other collectibles, Movie Posters, Guns, etc..

The whole house is like a big musuem.. theres other collectibles and advertising other than petroliana as well.

MY ENTIRE WIFELESS HOUSE (T.A.G.WEST) IS COVERED WALL TO WALL WITH THE STUFF....HOWEVER MY OFFICE WALLS ARE MOSTLY DEVOTED TO MY PHOTOGRAPHY! EVEN THE STOCKADE FENCE AND THE OUTSIDE OF THE HOUSE HAS BIG SIGNS TACKED TO IT! I AM A COKE/PETRO FREAK FOR SURE. HOWEVER SINCE I SHARE T.A.G.EAST WITH MY BROTHER, I AM LIMITED TO A 3-CAR GARAGE AND
HAVE ONE PUMP OUTSIDE THAT USED FOR SECURITY LIGHTING 24/7/365!

HAPPY COLLECTING!

I have a working 4 sided traffic light in my kitchen. If I was brilliant, I'd make it turn red every time I headed to the fridge!!

M y wife didn't want any pumps inside the house. So one day when my neighbor was here, and the wife wasn't home,we put a National clockface in the living room. Let's face it, if you have a nice looking pump, it's gonna be inside for your pleasure. I'm now working on a collectible -sun room combo. She actually likes it. No problem with the little woman here. Good luck on the collection. DAN

When I was married I had them in the house and outside the house...wherever I could fit a pump, sign or can except the bedroom. Now that I am without a Wife I have more room for more junk and i can put it in the bedroom....LOL.

Ouch Bob... that one hurt. My wife thinks it's not a hobby but an obsession. I spend many hours on here and she wanted to talk about it... lets say it's wasn't pretty. I am going to Mo. gas show so does that mean I won one? LOL

Now I got you Dick, I copied and printed this whole topic before you could get back and edit out the wife part! Now, let's try to do a little better on that 36 top I need. How about a one for one swap? Remember, I can just drop it by the little ladies place. You know, the non-smoking, un cluttered, clean part of the house... LOL

At one time I had 14 restored pumps in the house, but I got worried about the weight so built a room in the barn. Richard

John,
Did you win? I think that will depend on if she changes the locks while you're gone. LOL.
Good Luck!

Jarvis, this is a great topic, We are all in this together, I mean who in this hobby hasn'nt had to sell thier wives along the way on why? they are buying this junk, Where? could you possibly put this "JUNK", and Why are you so obsessed with this JUNK??? I actually had this conversation TONIGHT! I am just about maximum capacity in my garage, and I have put off so long on finishing out the basement, that she agreed, if I finished it " I could put my JUNK in there, so the basement has become number one priority.... I tactfully placed a Rosie the Rivitor picture over the stove in the kitchen (you know girl power and all) and it worked, so I am slowly integrating our home, which is what most of us have to do to achieve thier goal of total Petro Domination. Power to the Peto People, and keep up the good fight.... tactfully. LOL
