Being a novice pump guy, I picked up these two pumps from a local barn. I can identify the Shell as a Tokheim 39 Tall with (4) ad panels but I'm not sure what the visible is ? No ID tags, It has the original glass, (3) 10 gallon indicators that look original, it's about 93" tall & 48" round at the rods, it has an upper cut out which acesses a toggle or lever and a lower access for the pump handle ? there are doors for both of these but they were seperate and look to "fabbed" ? I would like to get a "hat" for this but not knowing the mfg.....makes it difficult ! can anyone help ? this is my first shot at posting pic's....so I hope it works ! Thanks, Z

We need a bigger image to really help you, Steve.

Try to post a bigger one, using the code from ImageShack for "Hotlink for forums 1" Copy that code and paste it in your Shop Talk message. An image 400 to 640 pixels in its largest dimension would be ideal. ImageShack has an automatic 640 x 480 resize tool to use at their site. Look for the resize checkbox. Select 640x480 from the drop down menu. That's assuming that you are starting out with an image larger than that.

WOW! I LOVE THAT TOK39! THE SHELL DECALS ON THAT ARE AWESOME! YOU SHOULD LEAVE IT AS IS AND JUST DRESS IT UP ADD A GLOBE AND LIGHT IT UP! THAT'S WHAT I WOULD DO, BUT THAT'S JUST ME!

Good finds Steve, your off to a great start with pumps. Since it is a Wayne parts should be easier to come by.
I thought it kind of looked like a Boyle-Dalton pump but Frank is correct. The 89 does not appear in Jack's book but the 78 and 83 are in there.

Correction, the 89 does show as a Boyle-Dalton on pg 130 of Jack's book. Thanks, Frank.

I believe Wayne Bought out Boyle-Dayton and the tag does say Boyle-Dayton on it but Wayne at the top in large letters, I believe this pump was in the transition period. There are a few differences in the two like the Boyle-Dayton access door frame is flat at the top and bottom edges and the Wayne has a nice curve to it in the middle, top and bottom, just a little more style to it. If you look close at the decal it says Economy gasoline, Wilshire oil co (Polly)...Frank

Nice pumps, Steve. Glad you got the image posting down. Don't type with your fingers crossed though. That can cause some nbasfdhg things. LOL

I do like that 39 like it is. Put in some ad glass, a globe and wire it for lights before you decide to "restore" it. It's got some original character.

The Tok is very cool as is.....just so everyone knows.....that one is going to remain as is except I'll add a globe & maybe some ad glass ! so where can I locate parts for the Wayne 89 ? China hat, Doors ? etc. as always, your help is very much appreciated ! Z
