I have a very rare original gas pump made by Guarantee Liquid Measure called, "The Visible Pump". It is in excellent condition with great paint, intact globe, slightly worn hose and nozzle. It has one small dent in the back on the base. It is model number 17 and has the manafacture's stamped plaque with patent date, information, model number and actual pump number. It also has the certified Underwriters' Laboratory Plaque as well. I would like to know more information regarding the typical value and number of similiar pumps remaining in existence. I can provide you with pictures as well.

Those are a favorite pump of mine. I had one but I let it slip away. It would be good to see the picture.

I will send to you this afternoon. I just checked it out this AM and it does need some work. It is also a Fry 17 that has been modified with a 10gallon tank. The cylinder is perfect and everything seems to look good except for the dent in the rear of the base and I can't make out the actual state serial number. Over all, I think it could easily fetch 2.5K or so as is and with minimal work and just the conduits and a globe and refinish.....could fetch 6 easily!!

There was at least one of these pumps for sale this weekend at Evansville, didn't get what he was asking. Probably be at least 2-3 for sale at Columbus in June. My suggestion is to put it on Ebay and see what happens.

it's NOT a RUSH converision and has a good 13 5/8 cylinder, you MIGHT get $1800 + unrestored.

Cush, I sent a message to Oldgas to see if he would post the pix for me. I think I may beg my friend to keep it and let me garage it in my garage until I can gather everything I need to restore it. How rare are they.....and I do feel that if I take the time to make it shine, I may end up falling for it and buying it from her myself. Tell me what you think. Buy it BEFORE you restore it. The owner might change their mind after seeing the FINISHED Pump. Even worse would be for them to put it on ebay or in an antique store.
