 Can anyone tell what model number this pump is? The only tags I can find on it say to use only Standard Oil filters. I'm thinking it may be a 179, but I can't find information on them. I have the original blue glass cylinder and lid, but no top bonnet. I believe this was a farm pump. The original color appears to be red. Thanks, Todd

It has the hooks and nozzle cover as described in the post that you linked to. The top bonnet attached with 4 bolts. I am going to post some more pictures. One is inside the door.

VERY FEW Visibles were sold New to Farms, most were recycled out of stations & installed buy bulk dealer that sold them the gasoline. A lot of pumps were provided Free or a minimal charge for buying their fuel.
Only differences I see in the Book between a 177 & 179 is the position of the pump handle. Both the 177 & 179 have adjustable gallon stops inside the long door. The 178 Does Not have gallon stops.

I don't see anything that looks to be stops inside the long door, so I guess this is a 178 unless something has been removed. The cylinder was one small chip in the edge that won't be seen if installed to the rear. I found it in a separate barn from where the pump was. I was very surprised that it survived! I looked high and low for the missing top pieces, but no luck.

As you get into restoring it, IF the selector pipe was removed you'll see where it was.
Take your time taking it apart, easier to break Old parts & Expensive to Replace w/ Old Parts.

Where the pump handle comes out is in a different spot in your picture than on my 178
Mine comes through the lower access door
The cutouts for the regulator handle has two spots below the long door - not one as in your picture
Top is held on by 4 bolts - same as yours

Small cutout for Reg. Handle & large one for Locking the nozzle up at night.
Some pump handles were made to be easily removed & stored inside pump at night.
