I have been reproducing the pot metal pieces that are being referred to in this post for a while using my 3D printer. they are now being made in a silver gray color and once installed you take a soldering iron to melt the tab a little and hold them in place.

Anyone needing the threaded pot metal tabs drop me a note and I can help you out with them.
