Hey everyone!
Well no one seemed to like the Gilbarco 96 I posted in here a while back. Let's see if this one gets y'all a bit more excited!
I've known the owner of this for over 10 years. He's had this for 25 years, but I'm not sure when he had it painted exactly. As you can see it's missing many parts, but it also has many and it looks solid. A little more prep work on the obviously pitted panels would have been nice, but what can you do? There's no base. And the hose does not screw into the fitting so either the fitting is wrong or the hose and possibly the nozzle is wrong...or some type of coupler is missing. I know the ad glass is repro. He has no globe either.
I'd like to buy this from him. Believe it or not he wants to just buy a replica so it's "done." This is one of those "I've been meaning to" and "I'd sure love it if I had the time to" situations. I think I could convince him to take my $ and put it towards a lighted replica.
If y'all could state what you think the highest price I should offer is please do so. I know he paid $100 for it back in the day and dropped $600 on the paint job at some point. Thanks in advance!
