I just received 3 cans from an eBay auction, 2 have been relidded. The description claimed original, I reviewed the photos, and it is easy to see new lids. I'm happy with my purchase, inexpensive !! But now I'm wondering how much does this effect the value?? Is a relidded Mohawk or Husky worth that much less than a 100% original? I'm new to oil can collecting, and really enjoy it, but nobody wants to overpay ! Is a relidded more desirable than an original with no lid, or no bottom ?
