Here is the message from the seller this morning. WHAT A PIECE OF WORK.
Hi Robert, I am so sorry to tell you I cannot sell you the sign. It was not, believe me, was not because of another offer. I consigned this with a neighbor, when I went to pick it up @ 11:00am she said "Oh, I've changed my mind, I think I promised it to my grandson". Some 13-14 yr. old who watches too much American Pickers. I went over everything again with her about eBay, brought over my laptop to show our communication & your family ties with the dairy. She just wouldn't budge. I'm furious, lost my 40% ($800.00), and let you down. I've processed the refund which probably shows as pending being transferred from my bank acct. I'm sure you're upset and angry, and I don't blame you. Is there anything else you're looking for? Perhaps something I could send you for free? I promise this is not some made-up story. I apologize - this has never happened to me. I respectfully ask you not to kill me in feedback. eBayers live and die by feedback. Please consider not crucifying me. So sorry, Laine

I have learned to "get over" a piece COMPLETELY before listing it for sale. Sometimes testing waters ends up in a sold item. If they weren't ready to sell or think they can get more GL to them cause the community and the market for these item never sleeps. The people that buy, sell & trade signs remember everything.

Problem is with the seller and NOT an Indiana guy KZ! Sounds like ALL YOUR PROBLEMS in life are the direct result of "THAT Indiana Guy" LOL Hope your able to move on at some point Seller is sketchy selling coke sign twice and selling repo's!!! When you buy from people like this, then expect drama like this too!

If the guy from Indiana didn't email the seller and offer more than 2k....The sign would be on Nashtime wall?
see me at Mason Dixon Gas, Spring Carlisle M114-115, and Hershey C4E-35.

About time a "Veteran member" of your type, spoke up!
How difficult is it to stay with a subject matter?

T-Bird. They might have reproduced this sign but you should easily be able to recognize an original. The inside area is a litho type of porcelain like you see on the Conoco Minute Man. KZ, Your blanket throw at Indiana was actually correct in this respect. Thermoman, It's not as black and white as it may appear. The seller was playing Robert, (Nashman's son) took his money and sold him out to me. Based on the sellers email to me and the timing of my offers I had no clue anyone else owned the sign. I found the sign without hearing about it on oldgas Finally, If the guy hasn't sold me out and I actually receive it, Nashman and I have it worked out and Robert will get the sign. End of Story.

Thanks for clearing this up Bustermonty! Glad you both worked it out AWAY from oldgas so the veterans arent disrespected anymore! Luckily "your type" veteran status came thru and saved the day! Looks like another greedy seller was lying thru his teeth! Glad that Greg saw what had happened and did the right thing. These greedy sellers just have no comprehension as to the connections we have out here in the collector community, and end up shooting themselves in the foot! That's just what happened here.
