I've always enjoyed the personal attention I get from Jim and some of the moderators after some of my posts. LOL! The best place on the web with the most helpful guys around and even though I don't post too much I am hear reading the posts 4 or more times a day.

Lots of good things here at Oldgas. I've made a lot of friends here. Many have contributed to my collection of CHEVRON items. More so than my e-bay purchases. Then there is the phone calls, e-mails, swap meets, road trips, the opportunities to poke fun at Paddy (Texaspelican) Doh!!! The only thing better, would be a road trip, to a swap meet, in the old Dodge, talking on the cell phone, while wearing Hawaiian (sp?) shirts. ROTFLMAO!!! GOOD fun here. BTW. Does anybody know where I can get the brakes fixed on that old Dodge?

All that stuff down in the playroom wouldn't mean much without the great people from here to share it with.

Like to throw my 2 cents in and say thanks not only to Jim and the moderators but to everyone on here. This place makes the hobby fun. Without it and the people on here to appreciate this stuff, all my friends would have convinced my by now that I am crazy for collecting this "junk". On several occasions without this site I probably would have gotten burned but now, when in question, ask the people on here and you will get a straight answer and good opinions. Thanks-- Roger

Very creative DB! I love this site. Like everyone else, I have learned a lot and while I will never have a collection like most guys here, I enjoy looking at their pics. There are many talented and creative people here with lots of knowledge about just about everything. I have probably used the non-petro forum more than the others because the members here are the first i think of going to with a question. I have been greatly assisted on everything from auto mechanics to my furnace. The good far outweighs the bad here. Thanks to everyone who have helped me in the past and those who will help me in the future ( see my question on shop lighting in non-petro lol) John

On behalf of myself and all the watchdogs, moderators and feature hosts, thanks for the comments. We strive to make this an enjoyable and educational place. One of the best payoffs is when we have a part in the making of friendships across the state, country and even the world.
In my opinion, this is a true community. We have all kinds of people participating. Some are sharing people, willing to work together as a team. Some are in it pretty much for their own benefit and ego. We try to allow for fun as long as people don't get hurt and rules don't get broken.
We specially thank all those who answer questions, post pictures and make others feel welcome. Without them, this wouldn't be much of a community.

I'm here to say that this site, moderators, & members have been a blessing to me! I found this site about 2 years ago. Since then it's been my daily "meds". I'm retired now, living out in the country. I'd be crawling the walls in wintertime if it weren't for all of you! I've bought & sold a few things on this site with absolute satisfaction. I've gotten to know some of you, having never met you personally. I don't make it to the petro shows, so this becomes my gathering place. Please realize that there are lots more folks out there like me depending on your input. Hopefully, we can be of some help & fun to you also! Please, everyone hang in here & enjoy each other! Sam

savinsam said"so this becomes my gathering place"makes it kinda like the corner gas station, where people would congregate to learn the latest news, get help from friends, and hang around and shoot the breeze! yeah,i like that!!only a newer day and age!
