I like my pumps like my deer mounts. Without the innards!

I always remove the guts when restoring electric gas pumps. I leave the guts in when restoring visibles and certain clockfaces.

If you do feel compelled to remove the inner guts, and more importantly,be thankful you STILL have that option today, please save them off to the side for posterity.
Pumps still holding their guts are far more scarce then those w/o.I'd personally pay more for a pump holding it's original guts today as compared to one that isn't.
Once someone removes the guts & discards em,good luck trying to find them again.

I like the guts. Keeps it original. But I'll buy both. If the guts are in them, they stay.
