Cool..... I always thought they were light reflectors.....Since they were on both doors, and there is only one side that has a totalizer. But what do I know.
Hey !!!!! the 900 series has a chain for the pen !!!!!. Boy there is so much you can learn from the experts on ebay.

They are reflectors, the guy selling them must have found a book laying in one of them.

700 and 900 series had them inside the door to illuminate the add glass below the computer window since the light was above the face. The 900's had a chain that went from the door latch assembly to the door to keep the door from swinging open and being damaged on the anti scuff bars for the hose.
