Several years ago I was a vendor at this auction. As such, I was required to be opened for business by 8 A.M. I would get to the venue around 7:30 to set up. As I walked through the display area one day, not many people were about that early. It afforded me the time to look around at the huge tent which housed the Ford/GM displays and led into the rest of the venue, also temporary tents. Then it struck me that with the black astro turf tacked to the asphalt parking lot underfoot, and the knock down displays all around, that this was a movie set. It was all smoke and mirrors, used for the allusion of the marketer. Since that day, my opinion of this production has changed. I realized that it became Disney Land for the wealthy. Now I do not take it seriously any longer. It is only real for the folks spending the cash. I hardly notice the prices. I have much better things to occupy my time. Paul www.severngaspumps.com
