Cool story. My first pump was a tall M&S/Wayne 80 that was rescued from a cow pasture.

Two pumps with a story...that's a good day.

You're very lucky to get that phone call, and lucky they didn't try to load them up for scrap. In my experience people are not nice to things in the loading or unloading at the scrap yard.

I was looking for some Geo Metro parts in this small private salvage yard when I spotted some gas pump parts. Wow, it was soon looking like a double face pump. I dug and dug for an hour and pulled out what I think is about 90% of the pumps exterior. The skeleton and all sides, top and bottom where there...! I'm not sure what I'll put inside, it's just super cool, and all the effort to find it makes for half the fun.

Nice find! It's a Early to mid fifties, G&B 900 series double electric.

I wish more guys would bring their pumps to the scrap yard in my town. They get treated like priceless fine china.
